Review: Support is utterly worthless, they read part a ticket and do things without confirming with us first and without warning. Tried to activate an event on an ark server, it's not in their drop down, ok, so put it in the custom code slot, event never turned on. we write them, they tell us to shut down so they can cluster us. We were already clustered...then tell us to do what we already did...these people need better support...AND it took them almost 12 hours to even remotely get to the ticket.

Review: Love BlackboxServers. Support has always been great and servers seem stable. Connection is always good. I have went with other service providers but Blackbox has always done right by me.

Review: You know, I never write reviews without having the product in front of me and in the case of restaurants, eating their food. However, these guys sent me an email wanting to review them before the server actually worked. Their advertisement said Instant Automated Setup. I have come to realize that those Instant Setups never work, regardless of the provider. Now I am a patient person. I know when I order a server, regardless of the provider, it is not going to work instantly. I am always going to have to send a ticket to support...and wait. If you say Instant Automated Setup, it should be instant and without errors. For that reason alone, you get 1 star. Your service may be wonderful. Time will tell.

Review: I'm using BlackBoxServers for several years now, on various games and it works like a charm. Their support is pristine and you get an answer on your query in a couple of hours usually. Highly recommanded !

Review: Good service, easy to use control panel and pre-built scripts. Had zero issue uploading mods or doing what I needed to with it.

Review: Moved my ark server without notification and lost all server files in process and then could not link the control panel with appropriate account. I canceled both servers with them. Still fighting a monthly charge since February. Have a $130 credit (from charges even after servers were canceled) that still has not been refunded.

Review: I have had very few problems with this company. The interface for managing the server is easy, setting everything up was a piece of cake and it is actually quite affordable. My only gripe is that if you miss a payment, for whatever reason, you are only given 3 days to fix it. That makes it somewhat difficult if you are having a problem with your payment option. If that grace period could be extended a bit, I think everything would be perfect.

(2.1) Prerequisites - Hardware
You will need at last 4GB to 6GB memory RAM minimum, a vanilla Rust dedicated server without any players take around that amount of memory, the maximum memory recommend it’s based on the number of players you will have, the number and type of mods you use and how much you boost and adjust your server settings. We also recommend having a CPU clock at with at last 3.2Ghz for optimal performance, below you can find a table with estimated values on the hardware requires Vs server setup.
SERVER WITHOUT PLUGINS
SERVER WITH PLUGINS
|30-60||3.0Ghz - 4/6GB||3.0Ghz - 6/8GB|
|60-100||3.0Ghz - 6/8GB||3.2Ghz - 8/10GB|
|100-200||3.2/3.4Ghz - 8/10GB||3.6/3.8Ghz - 10/12GB|
|+200||4.0Ghz - 12GB||4.0+Ghz - 12+GB|
Results are estimated values tested under normal conditions on Windows Server 2012/2016, values may vary between different hardware specifications, O.S. or Linux distributions.
